Under the umbrella of sustainability, ISAM will focus on the 3 tracks of asset management, energy conservation, and green facility practices in which topics may include:
- Smart building technology and LEED for Building Design and Construction (LEED BD+C)
- Monitoring asset management and life cycles through sustainable solutions
- Best practices including water synergies and reduction, waste diversion through composting and biofuel production, and use of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind generated electric

Tour a 50,000 square foot utility plant that supplies heating, cooling, hot water, cold water and compressed air to over 3 Million square feet of terminals and concourse buildings for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Participants will observe four York Chillers producing over 29,000 tons of cooling capacity and six boilers that produce over 35 Million BTUH heating capacity…these are state of the art, fully automated and remotely controlled systems…the best of its kind when they were installed. You’ll also be able to view a self-contained cooling tower that’s about to be rebuilt and be able to witness the triggers signaling decay in aging infrastructure…overall a great system to understand and learn from.
